Godley ISD will host the inaugural Wildcat Talks family and community event on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Godley 6th Grade Campus.

The series will feature short discussions on current topics of interest for parents and community members.  For the first event, Superintendent Dr. Rich Dear will present information on the school district’s growing enrollment.  This will be followed by a panel discussion on campus security.  The panel will be led by GISD Director of Safety and Well-Being Brian Hunt and will include local law enforcement officials.

Wildcat Talks will also include an “Ask Godley ISD” question and answer session.  Participants may sign up to ask questions of district administrators with a limit of three minutes per person.  Those who sign up must be a district resident or a parent or guardian of a GISD student.

Attendees will enjoy a free hot dog dinner while visiting with representatives of booster clubs, parent-teacher organizations, and other groups.

Activities for children will be led by Godley High School students in the gymnasium.

The district plans to hold additional Wildcat Talks throughout the school year.
