SCHOOL BOARD HONORS ATHLETIC, STATE FFA TEAMS

Godley ISD school board trustees honored high school athletic and FFA teams during its monthly meeting on December 12, 2022, at Godley High School.

Recognized were:

  • area-qualifying Ladycat Volleyball team, introduced by head coach Courtney Hammett

  • girls’ cross country team that qualified for regionals with two runners advancing to state meet, introduced by head coach Keith McFarland

  • regional-qualifying boys cross country runner, introduced by head coach Jason Hill

  • state-qualifying Godley FFA teams competing in Leadership Development Events, introduced by FFA sponsor Lacey Bennett

After the monthly meeting, trustees followed tradition and joined a crowd at the GHS Band concert for the festive Christmas music from the Jazz Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble.
