School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) Meeting #4 Minutes

I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 4:10 p.m. A quorum was present.

II. Public Participation
No public comments were made.

III. Child Nutrition Report: Year in Review & Upcoming Programs
The Assistant Director of Child Nutrition provided a review of the year’s nutrition initiatives and upcoming programs. The attached Smart Snacks in School report was referenced, highlighting the district’s nutrition standards for snacks and beverages, in accordance with USDA guidelines and the district's Wellness Policy.

IV. SHAC Feedback on Godley ISD Programs
SHAC members engaged in an open discussion about district health and wellness initiatives. Members provided feedback on current programs and shared suggestions for future improvements.

V. Annual Board Report Overview
The Director of Safety and Well-Being presented an overview of the SHAC Annual Board Report. Discussion followed regarding the content and format.

VI. Adjournment
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:23 p.m.

This meeting marked the final SHAC meeting for the 2024-2025 school year.
