Godley Middle School Principal Stephanie Wynne will serve district students as the Executive Director of Secondary Education beginning in the 2026-27 school year.

Wynne has served as a Godley ISD principal for three years — first at the Godley Sixth Grade Campus and the past two years at GMS.

“Stephanie is a proven leader who understands our students, staff and community,” said Chief Academic Officer Dr. Nikki Nix. “Her experience at multiple campuses and commitment to instructional excellence make her a strong fit to help guide our secondary programs.”

The leadership transition follows a restructuring of district administrative roles after the departure of Chief Academic Officer Dr. Airemy Caudle in December.

Superintendent Dr. Rich Dear said Nix, who previously served as Chief Readiness Officer, stepped into the chief academic role earlier this year. Wynne will fill the secondary leadership position, working alongside Executive Director of Elementary Education Keri Grimsley, a longtime former GISD principal.

A native of Weatherford, Wynne spent 15 years in Weatherford ISD, where she served as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal and principal. She also taught in White Settlement ISD for two years before beginning her career in Weatherford as a first-grade teacher at Seguin Elementary School in 2008. Prior to joining Godley ISD in 2023, Wynne served as principal of Hall Middle School.

Wynne earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Tarleton State University and a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Texas at Tyler.

The transition will create an opening for the GMS principal position for the 2026-27 school year. The district will begin the process of filling that role immediately.
