Stephanie Wynne will be the new principal of Godley 6th Grade Campus beginning with the 2023-24 school year. Godley ISD made the announcement on May 24, 2023.

“We are excited to have Stephanie coming to Godley,” commented Superintendent Dr. Rich Dear.  “She has incredible experience as an instructional leader, and I know that our students and staff will warmly welcome her to lead this campus.”

A native of Weatherford, Wynne spent the last 15 years in her hometown, where she served as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal and principal.  Wynne also taught in White Settlement for two years prior to beginning work in Weatherford as a first-grade teacher at Seguin Elementary School in 2008.  Most recently, she was principal of Hall Middle School.  

Wynne earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Tarleton State University and later a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Texas at Tyler.

The incoming principal succeeds Keri Grimsley, who will be the district’s new literacy director.
