Godley High School seniors Kyla Williams and Jordan Blakely announced plans to continue athletics in college during a signing ceremony on May 13, 2025.

A volleyball player, Williams is headed to North Central Texas College in Gainesville, where the Lions compete in Region 5 of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Williams a second-team all-district honoree following the 2024 season, which saw the Ladycats advancing to the Class 4A Division II regional semifinals after sweeping all district foes throughout the regular season.

Meanwhile, Blakely is joining the softball team at Arlington Baptist University.  The Patriots are members of the National Christian College Athletic Association.

Blakely was a member of the regional semifinal Ladycats, which also posted a perfect 12-0 district record and advanced to the third round in the Class 4A Division I softball postseason.
