Godley High School varsity and junior varsity boys snagged first-place trophies again with wins at the Glen Rose High School cross country invitational on September 11, 2024, at Squaw Valley Golf Course.

The varsity boys placed first among 10 teams and 73 runners, while the JV squad won the top spot in a field of three teams and 51 boys. 

Ryan Jones (17:49.85), Jonah Wood (17:54.94) and Cy Tennery (18:07.40) placed third, fourth and fifth respectively.  Others running were Wyatt Cheek, Jaxon Hill, Angel Montalvo, Shawn Warren and Landon Bell.

Among the junior varsity runners, Jhayden Nays (19:54.65) and Brandon Teal (20:28.17) were second and third, while Kovey Peacock (20:52.69) and Adidlas Kazouh (21:08.94) placed fifth and sixth.  Also on the JV squad were Noah Demetres, JD Johnson, Michael Swanson, Axel Reynaud, Jason Neal, Brody Rogers, Blake Weeg and Ryan McFarland.
