Crosby Carmichael, Utility Man of the Year

Thirteen Godley Wildcats received District 10-4A honors following the 2024 baseball season.

Crosby Carmichael is the district’s utility man of the year, while Tabor Anderson was selected as newcomer of the year.

Named to the district squad were:

  • 1st Team:  Owen Aramburu, Tate Grimsley, Lucas Ponce

  • 2nd Team:  Jason Carrell, Brenden Jameson, Byron McClure, Ryder Papasan, Jake Pempsell

  • Honorable Mention:  Ryan Davies, Brendon Kent, Parker Wolinski

Tabor Anderson, Newcomer of the Year

Godley bested Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis in the bi-district round with 1-0 and 5-2 victories on May 2-3 at Everman High School.  The Wildcats followed up with a win in the area contest (4-1, 1-7, 3-1) over Anna on May 9-11 at Plano East High School.  Advancing to the regional quarterfinals, the GHS boys fell to Celina 7-2 and 11-0 in the best-of-three series on May 16-17 at Denton Guyer High School.

Head coach Brent Lewis is assisted by Ben Ogle, Nick Manshack and athletic trainer Duke Graham.

In addition to Goldey, the athletic district includes Alvarado, Hillsboro, Kennedale, Venus and Waxahachie Life.
