Ten Godley Wildcats received District 10-4A honors following the 2022-23 baseball season.

Kole Allen, senior pitcher and shortstop, is the district’s most valuable player, while Jason Carrell, a junior outfielder and infielder, was selected as newcomer of the year.

Named to the district squad were:

• 1st Team:  Tate Grimsley, Byron McClure, Lucas Ponce, Owen Roever, Chris Sinku, Jaydon Spurlock

• 2nd Team:  Crosby Carmichael, Ethan Davies

As district champion for the third straight year, Godley stomped Fort Worth Western Hills in back-to-back playoff games (10-0 and 20-0) to win the bi-district championship on May 5. During the area round, the GHS boys fell to the Aubrey Chaparrals 8-7 and 2-0 in the best-of-three series on May 12-13.  

In addition to Goldey, the athletic district includes Alvarado, Hillsboro, Kennedale, Venus and Waxahachie Life.
