Godley High School golf teams excelled at the second Iredell Dragon Invitational on March 6, 2023, at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose. The boys were first, while the girls team finished second.

The Wildcats captured the tourney championship with a team score of 360 led by first-place winner Colin Price, who shot a low score of 67.  Other squad members were Camden Darder (91), Max Blair (94), John Johnson (108) and Wyatt Burke (122). Competing as individual medalists were Hagan Robertson (108) and Dax Tanksley (109).

Competing in the girls division, the Ladycats placed second with a team finish of 456. Squad members were Bailee Barbaro (105), Dallas Lane (109), Kelsey Harris (119), Madelynne Fitzgerald (123) and Marleigh Thompson (123).  Medalist was Alyssa Hallak (135)..
