Godley Wildcats defeated Anna in second-round playoff games to win the area championship on May 11, 2024.

The Wildcats took the first game 4-1, and Anna fired back with a 7-1 win in the second matchup.  The third game advanced to several extra innings after a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation, with the Wildcats advancing after scoring two runs in the 11th inning.

Godley previously bested Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis in the bi-district round with 1-0 and 5-2 victories on May 2-3 at Everman High School.

Moving on to the regional quarterfinals, the Wildcats will face Celina in the third-round series at Denton Guyer High School.  The first contest will be Thursday, May 16 at 7 p.m. followed by a second matchup on Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m.  A third game, if necessary, will follow on Saturday, May 18 at 11 a.m.

Varsity Wildcats include Tabor Anderson, Owen Aramburu, Crosby Carmichael, Jason Carrell, Grayson Crane, Ryan Davies, Jackson Duke, Tate Grimsley, Brenden Jameson, Brendon Kent, Collin Langford, Byron McClure, Marcus Molina, Ryder Papasan, Jake Pempsell, Lucas Ponce, Jaydon Spurlock and Parker Wolinski.
