Godley Wildcats competed in the Class 4A Division II regional playoffs versus Monahans on November 26, 2022, at the Mustang Bowl in Sweetwater.

The Lobos outlasted the Wildcats to win 62-55 and earn a spot in the regional quarterfinal matchup with Glen Rose, the District 4-4A champion.

Godley advanced from the area round after a 41-40 win over Seminole following a 27-6 bi-district victory over Midland Greenwood.  For the third-round regional playoff, the Wildcats faced Monahans, which defeated District 4-4A rival Ferris at the area level.

Varsity team members are Daniel Alexander, Kole Allen, Blane Applegate, Wyatt Burke, Vincent Buzalsky, Daniel Clidewell, Drew Coleman, Alex Duran, Keaton Eggleston, Ryan Gambino, Tate Grimsley, Ethan Hall, Nic Harrison, Trey Hindash, Cameron Leverett, Kevin Maldanado, Erik Marski, Elijah Matthews, Preston Maxwell, Cole Miller, Seth Neel, Ethan Parkinson, Jacob Pempsell, Lucas Ponce, Hagan Robertson, Chris Sinku, Kade Sundheim, Landon Thigpen, Brady Thomas, Saul Valle, Caleb Vandygrift, Gavin Vasquez and Brennan Wilson.

Subvarsity players moving up for the playoffs include Cane Albee, Keagan Bohannon, Tanner Bruton, Crosby Carmichael, Ben Clark, Alberto Diaz, Oscar Enriquez, Christian Gonzales, Landon Lawson, Caden Lewis, Ty Mathis, Byron McClure, Cain Mueller, Lane Nichols, Jace Osborne, Joseph Ramirez, Dax Tanksley, Westin Whitten and Logan Wilson.

Head coach Curtis Lowery is assisted by Billy Dan Chambliess, Garrett Cole, James Jeanes, Kim Kanaman, Brent Lewis, Nick Manshack, Chase Marler, Corey Quinn, Toby Rumfield, Will Sloan, Eric Sundheim and athletic trainer Duke Graham.
