The Godley Wildcats opened the Class 4A Division II playoffs with a dominant two-game sweep of Dallas Carter in the bi-district round April 29-30, 2026, at Everman High School.

Godley secured a 10-0 victory in Game 1 on Wednesday before closing out the series with an 11-0 win in Game 2 on Thursday to advance in the UIL playoffs.

With the sweep, the Wildcats move on to the area round and will face either Aubrey or Van Alstyne. Game details for the next round will be announced once finalized.

The Wildcats roster includes Tabor Anderson, Trystin Cardona, Asher Crane, Grayson Crane, Jaxon Daily, Lathen Hankins, Beckett Hardcastle, Madix Herron, Kinsler Kent, Brison Loera, Gio Molina, Ryder Papasan, Brady Phillips, Talan Roever, Braxton Spohn, Kingston Tompkins and Colton White.

Godley is led by head coach Ben Ogle assisted by Brock Sherrod and Austin Smith.
