Godley Wildcats captured their third straight district title to launch them into the 2023 baseball postseason.

As the District 10-4A champion, the Wildcats will face Fort Worth Western Hills in the bi-district round in a best-of-three series.  Godley will host the first two games on Friday, May 5 at 5 p.m. with the second matchup following.  A third game, if necessary, will be at Western Hills High School on Saturday, May 6 at 1 p.m.

Godley posted a perfect 9-1 district record with wins over Hillsboro 10-0 and 11-1 on Mar. 21 and Mar. 24, Waxahachie Life 4-3 and 6-4 on Mar. 28 and Mar. 31, Alvarado 2-1 and 6-1 on Apr. 4 and Apr. 6, Kennedale 7-2 on Apr. 14 and Venus 17-0 and 16-0 on Apr. 18 and Apr. 21. The single loss came against Kennedale 5-1 on Apr. 11.

Varsity Wildcats include Kole Allen, Blane Applegate, Owen Aramburu, Crosby Carmichael, Jason Carrell, Ethan Davies, Andrew Frazier, Tate Grimsley, Ethan Hall, Trey Hindash, Ethan James, Collin Langford, Byron McClure, Marcos Molina, Tanner Phillips, Lucas Ponce, Owen Roever, Chris Sinku, Jaydon Spurlock, Tyler Stevens and Parker Wolinski.

Head coach Brent Lewis is assisted by Ben Ogle and Nick Manshack, trainer Duke Graham and manager Tripp Karnes.
