Molly Walker is the new Godley ISD library services coordinator, according to an announcement by the school district on June 7, 2023.
Walker is currently the librarian at Cleburne High School, where she has worked for the past three years. She has an additional four years of experience with libraries at other grade levels, including service at Brawner Intermediate School in Granbury and Martha Reid Elementary School in Mansfield.
The new district coordinator will be leading and supporting Centers for Learning and Innovation (CLIs) at all six GISD campuses beginning with the 2023-24 school year.
“We are looking forward to Molly joining our Wildcat team. Due to her experience at every campus level, she brings great ideas and activities she can't wait to implement,” commented Chief Academic Officer Dr. Airemy Caudle. “We are excited to see her engage students and encourage them to utilize the many resources we have available throughout the CLIs on each campus.”
Walker earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma and later a master’s degree in library science from Texas Woman’s University. She began her educational career in 2006 at Forman Elementary School in Plano, where she taught second and fourth grades and served as an at-risk tutor.
