Two Godley FFA leadership teams showcased their skills on the state stage during the Texas FFA Leadership Development Events (LDE) on December 6, 2025, at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.
Placing sixth was the Agricultural Advocacy team of Tucker Clark, Taryn Franks, Lila Heiner and Klara Pinkerton, which advanced to state after finishing second at both the Chisholm Trail District and Area VIII contests.
Also competing was the Greenhand Agricultural Skills team — Landry Kamm, Je’Nessa Melgoza, Jade Neyman and Brandylin Reo — which earned its state berth by winning both district and area championships.

“We are incredibly proud to announce that our Agricultural Advocacy team placed sixth in the entire state of Texas. Their hard work, passion and dedication truly paid off,” FFA sponsors said. “Our Greenhand Skills team ranked among the top 24 teams in Texas. These outstanding first-year members showed tremendous skill, teamwork and determination.”
LDEs challenge students to demonstrate public speaking, decision-making, communication skills and knowledge of agriculture and the FFA organization. Team and individual events reinforce key lessons from the agricultural science classroom.
“A huge congratulations to all of our students and their amazing supporters. Your commitment represents the very best of our program, and we couldn’t be more proud,” sponsors said.
FFA sponsors are Lacey Bennett, Lloyd Pinkerton, Millie Loftin, Katherine Adams and Shelby Brown.
