Godley FFA members Abbey Mathis and Caitlyn White were elected district officers at the Chisholm Trail District meeting on September 6, 2023, in Glen Rose.

Mathis, a Godley High School senior, was elected district first vice president while White, a junior, was named district secretary.

Both students also help lead the local chapter with Mathis as president and White as historian.

Part of the state organization’s Area VIII, the Chisholm Trail District covers four counties - Hill, Hood, Johnson and Somervell - with chapters in Alvarado, Blum, Burleson, Burleson Centennial, Cleburne, Cornerstone Christian Academy, Covington, Glen Rose, Godley, Granbury, Grandview, Itasca, Joshua, Lipan, North Central Texas Academy, Rio Vista, Tolar and Venus.

Chapter FFA sponsors are Lacey Bennett, Lloyd Pinkerton, Leslie Bourgea, Millie Loftin and Katherine Adams.
