The third annual Godley ISD Film Festival drew creativity from students in all grade levels with top entries receiving awards on April 10, 2025, at the Godley High School Arena.
Organized by the GISD Career and Technical Education Department, the festival welcomed entries of original work from both elementary and secondary students enrolled in the school district. Entries included narratives and documentaries (five minutes or less), computer/digital or traditional animation (30 seconds to three minutes) and public service announcements (one minute or less). Adult participation was limited to sponsors and advisors only.
In all, the festival garnered numerous entries from all GISD campuses, including Godley 6th Grade Campus, Godley High School, Godley Middle School, Legacy Elementary School, Pleasant View Elementary School and R.B. Godley Elementary School.
“We are thrilled to continue our film festival with such strong interest among all grade levels in Godley ISD,” commented CTE director Nikki Nix. “This really provides a great opportunity for students to engage in creativity and innovation to submit wonderful entries that tell unique stories.”
