Eight Godley High School students in the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) chapter excelled at the TAFE Area 10 conference on November 15, 2025, at Tarleton State University-Fort Worth and have qualified to compete at the state level.

Students advancing to state competition are:

  • Exploring Careers – Administration:  Janice Aguilar
  • Interactive Bulletin Board:  Katy Wrisley; Samantha Moore and Abigail Deo
  • Teacher Created Materials:  Yulissa Arteaga and Jordan Minter; Addison Coats and Zaylee Deponte

The area conference included schools from Cooke, Denton, Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant and Wise counties.

State-level competitions will be held during the 42nd Annual Teach Tomorrow Summit on Feb. 26-28 in Dallas.

TAFE is a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) within the education and training career cluster. Its programs are designed to develop the next generation of teachers and child-development professionals.
