Godley High School students in the Texas Association of Texas Educators chapter excelled at competition at the TAFE Area 10 conference on November 16, 2022, at Tarleton State University.

Students competing and advancing to the state level are:

• Children's Literature K-3:  Carsyn Wheeler

• Education Leadership Fundamentals Test (ELF Test):  Averi Askew, Carly Bundock, Trinity Roden, Allison Stinson, Catherine Whitfield

• Interactive Bulletin Board:  Ashtin Anglin, Zaida Diaz, Abbigail Phelps, Trinity Roden 

• Parliamentary Procedure:  Averi Askew, Kytzia Cortez, Olivia Henderson, Allison Stinson, Catherine Whitfield

The area conference included schools from Cooke, Denton, Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant and Wise counties.

State competitive events will be held at the 39th Annual Teach Tomorrow Summit on Mar. 2-4 in Round Rock.

TAFE is a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that is part of the education and training career cluster with programs of study designed to develop the next generation of teachers and other child-development professionals.
