Godley Middle School seventh grade boys won first place at the Keene cross country invitational on August 27, 2025, at Rex Calicott Park.

Sergio Martinez (9:30.38) was the fifth-place boy in the seventh-grade run, with the Wildcats leading 12 teams to take the championship.  Other runners were Dax Wall, Bentley Sherry, Jude Mourning, Townes Chauveaux, Kallen Beck, Hudson Dudley, Noah Brunick, Harrison Dowdy, Isiah Santillan, Carson Carr and Kensington Aceves.

The eighth grade boys placed second in their division of 13 teams, with Kasyn Barrientos the top runner with a finish of 8:53.30 to lead all 118 runners.  Jorge Gurrola (8:56.60, fourth) and Dominic Walker (9:19.11, eighth) also placed among the top ten in the event.  Other eighth grade boys running were Axel Green, Ronin Tiefenbrun, John Switzer, Logan Ogle, Tristan Hillis, Gavin Damron and Wyatt Ivy.

Gracie DeFoor (11:42.60) led the eighth grade girls among 125 runners, and the team finished sixth in the 12-team contest.  Others on the squad were Bella Garza, Maddox Hill, Makenna Robinson, Avery DeLeon, Addaleigh Perez, Rilynn Pevsner, Makenzie Swiger, Daeja Nays, Embrey Carrol, Makayla Swiger and Gigi Torres.

For the seventh grade girls, Elle Stark (11:52/71) finished fourth in the 130-runner field for the Ladycats to place second among 14 teams.  Others in the race were Piper Mosby, Aliza Sanchez, Alyssa Stokes, Kylie Rangel, Alaina Loera, Lorianna Cheney, Sophia Tidwell, Layla Allison, Crystal Flores, Lynnlee Makovy, Autumn Harp, Gisselle Olalde, Lyla Patterson, Avery Parker, Ariel Botello, Hannah Anderson, Makayla Hoyt, Carsyn Cholico, Brinlye Christian, Kooper Polson, Lilyanna Montalvo, Ryann Teague, Lauren Pedigo and Ellarose Carroll.
