Godley Middle School seventh grade boys captured first place at the middle school district cross country meet on October 12, 2022, at Wallace Park in Hillsboro.

Jonah Wood led the squad with a second-place finish of 13:11.72 in the 3.2k run.  Others on the team were Jaxon Hill (14:16.20, fifth), Sam Black (14:32.52, seventh), Jace Gazdagh (14:34.65, eighth), Asher Crane (14:45.53, tenth), Avery Arriga (15:25.28, 11th), Landon Bell (15:34.25, 14th), Coby Ball (16:12.40, 18th), Ryker Dishman (16:23.20, 20th), Carson Showaler (16:29.10), JR Geisler (16:58.38), Eric Miramontes (17:45.67), Ayden Cavett (18:10.37), Easton Wade (18:14.01), Bear Riley (18:30.86), Brandon Teal (18:33.00), Graham McMullen (19:10.02), and Jayden Montibrand (21:15.96).

Seventh grade girls and both eighth grade teams finished in second place for their respective races.  Results for the runs were:

  • 8th Girls (second):  Cam Bellamy (13:44.11, first), Kezie Riney (14:34.74, sixth), Emma Lindamood (15:44.76, tenth), Hayli Hernandez (15:53.93, 11th), Bailey Block (16:38.22, 16th), Kimberly Maldonado (19:10.55), Samantha Young (20:26.62)

  • 7th Girls (second):  Kennedy Black (14:51.36, second), Grace McMullen (15:42.59, fifth), Ryleigh Hillis (16:24.51, eighth), Dillon Akridge (16:39.49, ninth), Madison Lionhardt (19:30.11, 16th), Layla Balderas (20:02.04, 18th), Bethany Alvarado (21:23.52)

  • 8th Boys (second):  Cy Tennery (12:47.56, second), Giovani Molina (13:55.06, ninth), Brayden Brantley (14:25.20, 12th), Braxton Spohn (15:16.74, 15th), Colton White (15:17.52, 16th), Joel Terrones (15:28.07, 18th), Brett Fancher (16:57.90), Logan Babbit (17:46.61), Jett Price (18:00.13)
