Godley ISD school board trustees held a special meeting to review preliminary information on staffing for the 2023-24 school year on March 8, 2023, at Godley High School. 

According to Assistant Superintendent Jason Karnes, planned new staff positions include elementary and middle school teachers, special education teachers and aides, school resource officers, program specialists and other support positions.  Principals presented overviews of campus-specific plans.

Funding for new positions is based on conservative estimates of student enrollment, which is projected to increase based on anticipated growth.  

Trustees took no action but reviewed all data during the workshop-style meeting.

School trustees have the next regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday, Mar. 27.
