Godley ISD school board trustees extended the contract of Superintendent Dr. Rich Dear during a special meeting on December 9, 2024, at Godley High School.

The board gathered to conduct an evaluation of the superintendent and then extended Dear’s contract with a new five-year term ending in June 2030.

"We thank Dr. Dear for his continued focus on students and teachers," commented Board President Craig Stevenson.  “Godley ISD is making academic gains and strengthening operational systems, and we appreciate Dr. Dear’s leadership as well as the hard work of our district and campus teachers and staff.”

School board trustees will next meet for a regular monthly meeting on Monday, Dec. 16.
