Godley ISD school board trustees recognized seven Godley High School seniors who earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs during the regular monthly meeting on September 25, 2023, at GHS.

A National Merit Commended Student, Thomas Zach received both the National Rural and Small Town Award (NRSTA) and the National Hispanic Recognition Award (NHRA).

Also honored with the NRSTA were Godley seniors Owen Aramburu, Zackary Blincoe, Camden Flood, Jackson Harry, Jarret Ilich and Jacob Pempsell. 

The criteria for the awards include grade-point averages and PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 assessment scores.
