Godley ISD school board trustees recognized Godley High School volleyball and boys cross country teams during its monthly meeting on February 17, 2025, at Godley High School.

Honored was the Ladycat volleyball team, which reached the Class 4A Division II regional semifinals in the 2024 postseason.  Team members are Peyton Bower, Calleigh Brewer, Nola Briscoe, Kytzia Cortez, Kenadie Gonzalez, Kase Grimsley, Lila Heiner, Bree Hubbard, Abbi Lee, Alissa Sullivan, Bella Van Wart, Baillee Wallis, Payton Wilcox and Kyla Williams.  They were introduced by GHS assistant coach Ashley Blue.

Also recognized was the Wildcat cross country team, which advanced to regional competition for the first time.  The squad includes Landon Bell, Wyatt Cheek, Jaxon Hill, Ryan Jones, Angel Montalvo, Cy Tennery and Jonah Wood.  Introducing the team was GHS head coach Jason Hill.
