Godley ISD school board trustees honored spelling bee winners and high school athletic teams during its monthly meeting on March 27, 2023, at Godley High School.

Recognized were:

• district spelling bee winner Jasmynn Galindo, a fifth grader at Pleasant View Elementary School, and runner-up Navin Riemondi, fourth grader at Legacy Elementary School

• boys basketball players making all-district team, introduced by assistant coach Terry Smith

• girls basketball players advancing to the regional tournament and earning district, region and state honors, introduced by head coach Mark Chauveaux

• football players persevering to continue to third round of playoffs and earning district, region and state accolades, introduced by head coach Curtis Lowery

Joining for the recognition were family members in the audience.
