Godley ISD school board trustees honored the high school robotics team and elementary ambassadors during its monthly meeting on October 24, 2022, at Godley High School.

The GHS team competed at the Cowtown BEST robotics competition earlier in October at Arlington Martin High School. Team members are captain Valeria Villagrana, Aiden Baker, Willie Carter, Tyson Melson, and Jacob Ryan.  Although Godley’s squad was the smallest of the 18 teams at the contest, the team excelled in a semi-finals matchup to earn eighth place. 

The new Wildcat Ambassadors at Godley elementary and sixth grade campuses are student leaders named following submitting applications and participating in interviews.  They are involved in leading pledges to the flags, leading campus tours, organizing awareness campaigns, and working on other student activities.  The ambassadors are in fourth and fifth grade at Pleasant View Elementary School, fifth grade at R.B. Godley and Legacy Elementary Schools, and sixth grade at Godley 6th Grade Campus.
