Godley ISD school board trustees recognized outstanding educators and support staff during the April board meeting, honoring the district’s Campus Teachers of the Year and Campus Paraprofessionals of the Year for the 2025-26 school year.

During the recognition, trustees also announced the districtwide Teacher of the Year honorees:

  • Elementary Teacher of the Year: Erica Massey, R.B. Godley Elementary School second grade teacher
  • Secondary Teacher of the Year: Ember Courtroul, Godley Middle School English language arts teacher

The district-level awards celebrate educators who demonstrate excellence in instruction, leadership and dedication to student success. Both honorees will now advance to compete among Teacher of the Year winners from school districts across Region 11.

Other Campus Teachers of the Year honored were:

  • Godley 6th Grade Campus: Kimberly Pannell, art teacher
  • Godley High School: James Jeanes, history teacher and coach
  • Legacy Elementary School: Amy Quinn, fourth grade teacher
  • Pleasant View Elementary School: Carli Crawford, kindergarten teacher

Campus Paraprofessionals of the Year recognized were:

  • Godley 6th Grade Campus: Laura Dolan, receptionist
  • Godley High School: Robert Arredondo, inclusion aide
  • Godley Middle School: Jennifer Miller, receptionist
  • Legacy Elementary School: Jessica Majano, ESL aide
  • Pleasant View Elementary School: Josh Maes, TAP aide
  • R.B. Godley Elementary School: Natalie Steward, PEIMS/campus secretary

Godley ISD honors both teachers and paraprofessionals each year for the vital role they play in creating a positive learning environment and helping students thrive. Their work reflects the district’s commitment to excellence across every campus.
