Godley ISD school board trustees honored Ladycat softball player Cadence Chambliess at the regular meeting on July 24, 2023, at Pleasant View Elementary School.

A GHS senior, Chambliess earned All-State accolades from the Texas Sports Writers Association following the 2023 season, when she was a junior.

Chambliess, a pitcher and shortstop, claimed a spot on the TSWA All-State first team among Class 4A players. The rising senior was also the District 10-4A most valuable player and shared MVP honors on the All-Johnson County superlative list.
