Fifth-grade ambassadors from R.B. Godley Elementary School visited two nursing homes to present residents with greeting cards on October 4, 2023.

The group, led by school counselor Angie Molinari, visited both Granbury Care Center and Bridgewater Memory Care in Granbury.

 

 

The greeting card initiative was part of the school’s new “house” system begun this year so that students can develop relationships and comradery across grade levels.  The teams also emphasize monthly character topics and complete community service projects.

Other service projects planned for the year include: a canned food drive, letters to veterans and children’s hospital patients; cards and treats for first responders; spring cleaning at the city park; a children’s clothing and toiletry drive; tree planting.
