It was a wild day at Pleasant View Elementary on October 16 as students got up close and personal with some unusual guests — including a kangaroo, tegu lizard, tortoise, opossum, and even an albino Burmese python.

The visit from The Creature Teacher turned the campus into a mini zoo, giving students the chance to see and learn about exotic animals right in their own school. Through lively presentations and hands-on encounters, students explored topics in science, nature, and animal behavior while discovering just how fascinating the animal kingdom can be.

The interactive program is designed to inspire curiosity and a lasting appreciation for wildlife — and judging by the wide eyes and excited chatter, it did just that.
