David Chowdhury, a pre-kindergarten student at Pleasant View Elementary, won second place in a soil and water conservation coloring contest with awards presented at a banquet on May 1, 2023, at the Cleburne Conference Center.

Soil and Water Conservation District 541 held the banquet to honor Johnson County students for essays and artwork.  The district and its state board and association sponsor the competition annually to provide competition and incentives to expand and improve conservation efforts, resource development, and increase the wise utilization of our renewable natural resources.
