Godley FFA member Klara Pinkerton was honored as a state finalist during competitions at the 96th Annual Texas FFA State Convention on July 8-12, 2024, in Houston.

Pinkerton, a rising sophomore at Godley High School, has achieved remarkable success in FFA with her sheep production endeavors. She was a state finalist as one of the top four in the state with her Star Chapter Farmer Award, receiving a prestigious accolade recognizing her entrepreneurial skills and dedication to agriculture.

Additionally, Pinkerton’s agricultural proficiency project that earned her a gold award was also selected as top six in the state. It showcases her mastery in managing and expanding her Southdown sheep flock. Her commitment extends beyond raising livestock to meticulous record-keeping, reflecting her daily efforts and financial management. 

In addition, Caitlyn White, who was elected treasurer for Area VIII this spring, helped lead the area delegates during each session.

Attending from Godley at the state convention were Campbell Armstrong, Nola Briscoe, Keagan Carter, Tucker Clark, Taryn Franks, Lila Heiner, Dominic Macedonia, Klara Pinkerton, AJ Welch, Caitlyn White and Logan Wilson.
