Godley High School FFA member Klara Pinkerton earned top honors at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Junior Agricultural Mechanics Project Show, held during the first weekend of the annual 23-day event in January and February 2026.

Pinkerton was named reserve champion in the Livestock Equipment Division and also captured first place in the chutes and head gates category with her sheep chute project. Her work earned her $1,500 in prize money and recognition among top student competitors from across the region.

The Junior Agricultural Mechanics Project Show highlights student craftsmanship, technical skill, and applied agricultural knowledge. Students design and build original projects that are judged on quality, functionality, and workmanship.

Pinkerton will continue showcasing her project this season at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo, further demonstrating the quality and competitiveness of her work on a statewide stage.

Her success reflects the strong career and technical education opportunities available through Godley ISD and the hands-on learning experiences provided through the district’s FFA program. Agricultural mechanics programs help prepare students for careers in agriculture, engineering, manufacturing, and skilled trades by emphasizing problem-solving, precision, and real-world application.
