Godley High School senior Adam Pempsell announced plans to continue his academic and athletic career at Austin College, where he will play football, during a signing ceremony held April 28, 2026.

Located in Sherman, the Austin College Kangaroos compete in NCAA Division III athletics as members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

A running back, Pempsell earned first-team all-district honors as a senior after being named second-team all-district as a junior. As a sophomore, he was selected as the district’s Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

In addition to his accomplishments on the football field, Pempsell was a first-team all-district selection in soccer in 2026, helping lead the Wildcats to the Class 4A postseason for the first time in program history.

He has also demonstrated success in the classroom, competing at the UIL academic regional meet in accounting.

Pempsell is pictured with his parents, Daniel and Lindsey Pempsell; extended family members; and Godley High School head coach Danny Dudgeon and assistant coach Brock Sherrod. He was also joined at the signing by teammates and friends.
