New school resource officers with the Godley ISD Police Department were introduced to school board trustees on August 18, 2025.

“Officers Lacretia Mack and Officer Kevin Seaton bring a wealth of experience, specialized training, and a deep commitment to student safety,” said Chief Matt Quinteros when introducing the new officers.

Mack joins Godley ISD with more than 25 years of law enforcement experience. Most recently serving as an SRO with White Settlement ISD Police Department, she holds a Master Peace Officer License and is certified in School-Based Law Enforcement (Intermediate) and ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training). Before her time in White Settlement, Mack served over 23 years with the DFW Airport Police Department, rising to the rank of sergeant. She was honored as Officer of the Year in 2009 and Supervisor of the Year in 2016.

Having completed more than 3,500 hours of Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) continuing education, Mack has covered a broad range of topics including forensics, crime scene investigation, mental health and crisis intervention, child abuse prevention and investigation, instructor development, and supervisory leadership. “Her extensive experience and dedication to student safety make her an exceptional addition to the Godley ISD Police Department,” said Quinteros.

Seaton brings over five years of law enforcement experience, most recently serving as an SRO for Glen Rose ISD through the Somervell County Sheriff's Department. He holds an Advanced Peace Officer License through TCOLE and is certified by the National Association of School Resource Officers at the advanced level as well as ALERRT certified.

A graduate with a bachelor's degree in business, Seaton currently serves as Region 3 co-director for the Texas Association of School Resource Officers. In 2022, he was awarded the Life Saving Award after applying a tourniquet to save a teenager injured in a UTV accident. Seaton has completed more than 1,400 hours of TCOLE training, with a strong focus on school-based law enforcement.

“We are excited to welcome Officer Mack and Officer Seaton to the Godley ISD Police Department,” commented Quinteros. “Their training, experience, and passion for working with students will strengthen our commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment across our campuses.”

The new officers join David Falter, who started with the department in the spring.
