Krista Richard, the new art teacher at Godley Middle School, was named among the top ten teachers in Fort Worth by a local magazine in August 2025.

Fort Worth Magazine selected their group from nominations seeking local educators who are shaping minds, shifting perspectives and leaving lasting impressions in classrooms.

“Richard’s first Fort Worth teaching job was at Kirkpatrick Middle School, where she taught for 13 years and built the art program up before heading Arlington Heights. A big believer in her students tackling community projects, you can see her students’ artwork all over town,” wrote Brian Kendall, the magazine’s executive editor.

According to Richard, “I take advantage of every opportunity to get a kid to learn outside the classroom.”
