To our Godley ISD Community -

On behalf of our school board trustees, we appreciate every resident who cast their vote in Saturday’s election. Voting is an important right and responsibility in our American society, and each of us should diligently exercise our constitutional duty at the ballot box. 

We recognize that a large majority did not favor the bond proposal, and we respect the decision of our community. We are grateful for the strong support we have received when the district placed proposals before you. We are also mindful of your continued support even when a proposal does not receive approval.

In 2021, voters approved major school facility improvements and teacher pay increases that are meaningful for every single student and staff member. Pleasant View Elementary School opened earlier this year, and high school projects continue for a career and technical education center, competition gym and fine arts wing. Teachers also received pay increases averaging 17% thanks to our local voters. 

The district will continue to seek input from parents, staff and community members as we move into the future.  We value your feedback and know that we can always partner together to do what is best for kids.
