Matt Quinteros reported for duty as the new School Resource Officer serving Godley ISD schools on January 9, 2023.
Now an officer with the Godley Police Department, Quinteros has 18 years of experience in law enforcement. He most recently worked at West Covina Police Department in a suburb of Los Angeles, California. Quint
eros began his career in 2004 in the neighboring city of Montclair.
Quinteros succeeds Dusty Ford, the district’s long-time SRO who served in conjunction with Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and later Godley PD. Ford departed Godley in November to become chief of the Rio Vista ISD Police Department.
“We are very happy to welcome Matt Quinteros to Godley ISD,” commented GISD Superintendent Dr. Rich Dear. “Matt will be instrumental in developing plans and protocols to ensure the safety of our students and staff. We are excited to have him join the team as we advance our campus security programs.”
Quinteros has already been part of the school district since his family moved to Godley in 2021. His wife, Pam, is a second-grade teacher at R.B. Godley Elementary School, and the couple’s children attend GISD schools.
