Pioneers, athletes, inventors, entertainers and other notable leaders from United States history came to life during a “living wax museum” hosted by Legacy Elementary School third graders on the morning of December 17, 2024.
With costumes and displays following their research and preparation, students portrayed their chosen individuals and were able to share background information and fun facts with the “museum” attendees.
The cafeteria and gymnasium were full of historical figures from government, sports, medicine, space and travel, science as well as entertainment. Among those in the “museum” were football player Patrick Mahomes, aviators Amelia Earhart and Orville Wright, president Abraham Lincoln, civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks, gymnast Simone Biles, inventor Thomas Edison, singer Dolly Parton and scientist Albert Einstein.
