Godley High School Ladycats won the championship at the Burleson Elk Run XXV on August 29, 2025, at Chisenhall Park.

The cross country varsity placed first among 15 teams and 116 runners, while the JV squad was third in a field of 16 teams and 170 girls. 

Makayla Jetton (20:57.00) was the top Godley runner with a sixth-place finish in the 5K run.  Also running for the varsity Ladycats were Leighton Murphy, Sophia Hodges, Kennedy Black, Dillan Akridge and Emma Lindamood.

For the junior varsity, Julyssa Ortiz (14:40) led the Ladycats in the 3200-meter run.  Others were Kinley Simmons, Caylee Price, Presley Hindash, Mackenzie Hayes, Alison Zamarripa, Braely Lee, Layla Balderas, Airabella Logan, Cali Harrington, Abigail Johnson and KK Wilson.
