The Godley Ladycats captured a Class 4A Division I bi-district basketball title with a 67-39 victory over the Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles on February 17, 2026, at Midlothian Heritage High School.

Prior to the first-round win, the GHS girls posted an 11-1 district record, earning the team’s fourth consecutive district championship.

For the area playoff round, the Ladycats will face the Frisco Panther Creek Panthers. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20 at W. G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City.  

The varsity squad includes Kase Grimsley, Lila Heiner, Ryleigh Hillis, Presley Hindash, Sadey Hughey, Tatum Peacock, Katie Ponce, Bryce Reed, Kinlee Smith and KK Wilson.  

Head coach Mark Chauveaux is assisted by Kristi Mayes and Skyler Warrick, along with athletic trainer Nichole Harmon. Team managers are Abby Hughey and Abbie Smith.
