The Godley Ladycats defeated Lake Dallas in a Class 4A Division I area playoff series on May 1-2, 2025, at Kennedale High School.

Godley defeated the Lady Falcons 1-0 in Game 1 following up with a 14-11 victory in Game 2 to advance in the postseason.

The Ladycats next face Sulphur Springs in the regional semifinals, starting with Game 1 on Thursday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Forney High School.  Game 2 is set for Friday, May 9 at 5:30 p.m., with Game 3, if necessary, 30 minutes after the conclusion of the second matchup.

This season, Godley posted a perfect 12-0 district record, marking the fourth district title in a row for the GHS girls.  On Apr. 24, the District 12-4A champions made short work of Dallas Conrad, shutting out their bi-district foes in three innings. 

The varsity squad includes Samantha Andersen, Sierra Beratto, Jordan Blakely, Harlee Bullard, Alyssa Castillo, Karlee Clark, Kinzlee Durham, Halle Gross, Hayden Keeton, Jaydin Riale, Alissa Sullivan, Bailee Wallis and Dakota Watson.

Head coach Rus Mayes is assisted by Kristi Mayes as well as athletic trainer Duke Graham. Team managers are Marissa Bethel and Saleece Hill.
