The Godley Ladycats swept the first half of District 10-4A volleyball play with a victory over Waxahachie Life on September 30, 2022.

GHS girls posted victories over all district foes without losing a single set:  Alvarado (25-11, 25-14, 27-25) on Sept. 9, Ferris (25-12, 25-19, 25-13) on Sept. 13, Kennedale (25-11, 25-11, 25-12) on Sept. 16, Hillsboro (25-9, 25-11, 25-13) on Sept. 23, Venus (25-11, 25-10, 25-7) on Sept. 27, and Waxahachie Life (25-13, 25-13, 25-10) on Sept. 30.

Junior varsity Ladycats also posted wins in each district matchup, while freshman suffered only a single loss to Alvarado.

The varsity squad includes Ashtin Anglin, Jessica Castillo, Kendall Castor, Bree Hubbard, Catrina Leverett, Baylee Mobley, Logan Reed, Kristen Robles, Trinity Roden, Audrey Rodriguez, Brynn Staton, and Bella Van Wart.  Hammett is assisted by Ashley Blue and Rus Mayes, and managers are Michaela Davis and Nina Jimenez.

Second-half action begins on Tuesday, Oct. 4 with the Ladycats heading to Alvarado.  Other games are scheduled at Ferris on Oct. 7, at Kennedale on Oct. 11, vs. Hillsboro on Oct. 18 at home, at Venus on Oct. 21, and vs. Waxahachie Life on Oct. 25 at home.
