Twelve Godley Ladycats received District 10-4A volleyball honors following the 2022 season, which saw the Godley High School girls advance to the area championship after sweeping all district foes throughout the regular season.

Catrina Leverett was named Defensive Most Valuable Player, while Bree Hubbard earned newcomer recognition.

Others named to the district squad were:

  • 1st Team:  Baylee Mobley, Logan Reed, Brynn Staton

  • 2nd Team:  Ashtin Anglin, Kendall Castor, Trinity Roden

  • Honorable Mention:  Jessica Castillo, Kirsten Robles, Audrey Rodriguez, Bella Van Wart

In addition, Ladycat head coach Courtney Hammett was named Coach of the Year.

Ten players receiving academic all-district recognition were Ashtin Anglin, Kendall Castor, Jessica Castillo, Bree Hubbard, Catrina Leverett, Logan Reed, Audrey Rodriguez, Trinity Roden, Brynn Staton and Bella Van Wart.

The varsity Ladycats completed a full sweep of district volleyball play, posting a perfect 12-0 record while not losing a single set.  The district champions beat Fort Worth Dunbar in the bi-district round before falling to Celina at the area level.
