Seven Godley Ladycats received District 10-4A honors following the 2022-23 season, which saw the Godley High School girls advance to the regional tournament for the first time in six years.
Logan Reed was named Offensive Most Valuable Player.

In addition, Ladycat head coach Mark Chauveux was named Coach of the Year.
The Godley girls captured the district basketball title with an 11-1 record. This marked the first district title and regional appearance for the Godley girls since the 2016-17 season, when the team reached the UIL state tourney.
The district champions beat Fort Worth Young Women’s Leadership Academy 59-19 in the bi-district round on Feb. 13 and Anna 63-52 in the area contest on Feb. 17 followed by a regional quarterfinal victory over Van Alstyne 47-36 on Feb. 21. Godley fell to Sunnyvale 44-18 in the regional semifinal matchup on Feb. 24 at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
In addition to Goldey, the athletic district includes Alvarado, Ferris, Hillsboro, Kennedale, Venus and Waxahachie Life.
