Godley High School junior Logan Reed earned All-State honors from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches following the 2022-23 season.

Reed and Bree Hubbard, a sophomore, both earned TABC region accolades.

The girls were among seven on the GHS team recognized on the District 10-4A team.  Reed was named Offensive Most Valuable Player while Hubbard was a first-team selection.

The Godley girls captured the district basketball title with an 11-1 record.  This marked the first district title and regional appearance for the Godley girls since the 2016-17 season, when the team reached the UIL state tourney.

The district champions beat Fort Worth Young Women’s Leadership Academy 59-19 in the bi-district round on Feb. 13 and Anna 63-52 in the area contest on Feb. 17 followed by a regional quarterfinal victory over Van Alstyne 47-36 on Feb. 21.  Godley fell to Sunnyvale 44-18 in the regional semifinal matchup on Feb. 24 at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
