Ten Godley Ladycats received District 10-4A honors following the 2024 softball season.
Senior Saniya Hill was the district’s most valuable player, while classmate Cadence Chambliess was the offensive most valuable player. Dakota Watson, a junior, was selected as catcher of the year, and freshman Hayden Keeton was newcomer of the year.

Godley compiled a perfect 10-0 district record leading up to the postseason, earning a third consecutive district championship. The Ladycats defeated Fort Worth Carter-Riverside in the bi-district series 21-0 and 16-0 on Apr. 25-26. The GHS girls fell to Frisco Panther Creek 1-0 and 5-2 in the area round.
Ladycat coaches are Rus Mayes and Kristi Mayes.
In addition to Godley, the athletic district includes Alvarado, Hillsboro, Kennedale, Venus and Waxahachie Life.
