Godley Ladycats competed in the Class 4A regional quarterfinal playoffs on May 11-12, 2023, at Saginaw High School.

GHS fell to Van Alstyne 11-4 in the Game 1 opener on May 11 and 8-3 in the second matchup on May 12.  The Panthers advance to the regional semifinal to face Farmersville.

As the District 10-4A champion following the regular season, the Ladycats first defeated Fort Worth Dunbar, the fourth-place team from District 9, by a whopping 21-0 after five innings in a single-game bi-district matchup on April 29.  Godley then beat Celina in a best-of-three series in the area round on May 4-5; the girls bounced back after a 13-1 opening loss to win 10-4 and 9-8 to capture the victory.

Varsity Ladycats include Madison Aguiar, Samantha Andersen, Jacy Barrett, Alyssa Castillo, Cadence Chambliess, Karlee Clark, Ahmari Govea, Halle Gross, Bree Hubbard, Lexy Lewallen, Brittany Roark, Macy Robinson, Audrey Rodriguez, Bailee Wallis and Dakota Watson.
